NYC Swatches & Review

June 26, 2015

Hello lovelies! NYC is a brand I've never really paid much attention to in stores. After swatching these I asked myself why I hadn't. Why were you so polish snobby Manna?! Check out the swatches ;)

Water Street Blue is a lovely baby blue creme. Formula for this was a bit on the thin side which caused minor cuticle flooding. However it levels nicely after 2 coats and caused no staining like most blues do on me.
NY Princess is packed with hex and round glitters in a violet base. Application was smooth, you will need a top coat because it does dry rough. 2 coats.
Sea of Diamonds is a lovely sky blue glitter polish. Application was the same as NY Princess. I like that the formula of these isn't "chunky" like some glitter polishes tend to be. 2 coats.
Ruby Slippers is my favorite of the bunch. It's packed with silver, red, and purple glitters in a red base. Simply GORGEOUS! Application was a breeze. 2 coats.
Final thoughts: I can't believe I've always passed up NYC polishes! Application and formula of these were perfection. They do what they say, they dry in 60 seconds. For the price point ($1.99 each) I may be adding quite a few of these to my collection in the future.

Do you own any NYC polishes? Which is your favorite?
