Halloween mani

halloween themed gradient nail art

Halloween is my second favorite holiday, I was so excited for October to get here so I could do Halloween themed manis every day. But...that sure didn't happen!
I injured my leg and hip by falling on our wet back porch, I was laid up in bed for over 2 weeks this month. I couldn't just fall on my butt like a normal person, I had to fall with my right leg forward, and my left leg bent and went behind me. Seriously..I could probably injure myself in a room full of feathers! Then I got sick. So it hasn't been the best month for me. I did 3 Halloween themed manis total, kinda disappointed :(

I decided to do a simple gradient for today. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black, Orly Charged Up, and Sinful Colors Feel the Vibe. I can't believe I was so anti Sinful Colors until recently, they are great for nail art and some are good for stamping. I was going to stamp a spiderweb with Sinful Colors glow in the dark polish over my gradient, but the polish is too runny and neither of my stampers could pick up the image. Then I thought I would do some stripes, so I cut off 40 pieces of nail striping tape..anyone that uses striping tape knows its a pain. I tried it on one finger and it looked terrible so all of my tiny pieces of tape had to be picked off the table and thrown away.

Hopefully come Christmas time I'll have more time to do some Christmas nail art! I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween :)
