Hi everyone! I'm back to swatching this week. Today I have 2 lovely polishes from O.P.I's 50 Shades of Grey collection.
Confession: I am NOT a 50 Shades of Grey fan. I bought the first book, made it a couple chapters in, and I just couldn't stand to go any farther. And this is coming from someone who is a Twilight fan. I was interested in the movie when they announced that Charlie Hunnam (aka Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy) was going to play Christian, but then my heart was ripped out of my chest when they said he had to back out. A little dramatic I know, but if you've seen SoA then you know why I was excited. Anyways, on to the swatches..
First up is Romantically Involved. It is the only pop of color in this collection because the rest are of course, grays. This is a beautiful medium red creme, perfect for Valentine's Day manis. Application was flawless, clean up was great, and it did not stain my cuticles like most reds. This is 2 coats.
Shine For Me is a shimmering silver with subtle blue sparkles. I love this polish! It looks like it might be "bumpy" but once you put a generous coat of top coat, it dries nice and smooth. This is 3 coats.
Both of these were great additions to my (small) O.P.I collection. I may have to pick up a couple of the gray polishes this week!
