Review: Quaint Paints

Indie nail polish Quaint Paints
Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to show you a new indie, Quaint Paints.

Quaint Paints is a 5 free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly indie. Laura, the creator is someone that indie lovers are going to have to watch out for. Her polishes are unique and she has a lot of great ideas! K on to the swatches..
indie nail polish, quaint paints polishin around the christmas tree
Polishin' Around the Christmas Tree is a glitter topper that consists of large Christmas tree shaped metallic green glitters accompanied by two sizes of metallic dot glitters and it sits in a gold shimmer base. The large dots are red, silver, and lilac. The smaller dots are aqua, gold and magenta. The dot glitters represent the lights on a Christmas tree, how fun! Did I mention it's also SCENTED?! It's "Christmas Memories" scented; top notes of cranberries and oranges, followed by cinnamon and clove, and ends with notes of evergreens and pinecones. It is DIVINE. It was nice to not have to inhale stinky polish fumes for once. I layered this over China Glaze White on White. I wanted to make sure the glitters popped, I'm sure it would look good over any color.

Tip: Glitter fishing will be required. The Christmas trees are a heavy glitter, so you're going to want to turn the bottle over and rub it between your hands for a bit to get the glitters near the top.
Pros: Colorful glitters, easy to apply, the scent. I mean seriously..what a fun polish!
Cons: Glitter fishing required. I know some people consider glitter fishing a pain, I don't mind it too much IF the glitter payoff is worth it. And this definitely was. If you have a prominent C curve to your nail (like I do) bigger glitters tend to stick up on the nail. Load it up with top coat, and you should be fine.
Quaint Paints let it glow, a glow in the dark nail polish
Let it Glow has holographic silver hexes and snowflakes in a shimmery base. I put this over China Glaze Wait N' Sea.

It glows in the dark!! How beautiful is this?! These pictures were taken after a couple of minutes under one of my light box lamps. I can't imagine how awesome it will be after being in the sunlight.
TIP: The polish does look a little cloudy in the bottle, but don't worry, it's because of the glow pigment. It is not noticeable when you apply it.
PROS: Easy application, beautiful holographic glitters, it GLOWS!
CONS: Glitter fishing required. The snowflakes are heavy, so like the Christmas Tree polish, you need to turn the bottle upside down and roll it between your hands for a bit.

I was very impressed with both of these polishes, and considering Laura has just started her indie adventure, I'm excited to see what she comes up with in the future! These will be available on her Etsy store. Links below.
