Joy Lacquer I Lava You Duo Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Joy Lacquer's custom Boutique is still open for the rest of the day, so if you'd like to get your hands on one of her customs, including this beautiful duo, the time is now!

From Joy: "Co-created by Kate and based on incredible underwater volcano and lush volcanic island photographs.  This duo was also inspired by the Pixar short that plays before the Inside Out movie, a dvd that is played all too often at her house!"

Description: Made from a unique shimmery olive base, then a spatter or rainbow chrome flakies, shimmery copper and bright blue flecks were added to represent the vivid color you can see in a lush rain forest.
Application & Formula: Good formula, it is on the "thick" side but does not affect application. Applies smoothly and levels perfectly.
Opacity: 2 coats

Description: A blue jelly full of copper and orange chrome flakes.  It pulls violet in the sun but it's a bright royal blue in person.  

Application & Formula: Formula is a bit thin, but this is a jelly afterall! Smooth, easy application. No issues, and no visible nail line after 3 thin coats.

Opacity: 3 coats
